Jo was so surprised by his authoritarian appearance that she actually forgot to continue to cry. “Did you hurt her? Or lock her into her closet?”
Liam chuckled. “No but not a bad idea. I just gave her a piece of my mind and I don’t think she liked it.” Liam kissed her on the top of her head.
Jo let Liam drive, while she was rather quiet.
They were back and Jo went upstairs into their newly finished bedroom of their flat at the top floor. Liam followed her, not because he felt like Jo very tired but because he was worried about her.
“Don’t go away.” Jo looked at him with big pleading doe eyes at her husband.
“I’m right here.” Liam said gently. He climbed into bed and pulled Liam into his arms. Her head was resting on his chest, while he was playing with her hair.
“Maybe they are right, and it would be best if I have an abortion.”
Jo was surprised that she felt Liam stiff under her.
“Are you saying this because you want this abortion for you or because it would just stop the others to nag on you?” Liam tried to sounds very calm, but Jo could tell that there was something in his voice, something she couldn’t name yet.
For a moment she thought about what he had asked.
“I don’t want to have one but everyone is mad at me, and you are scared that I stop loving you which I not and as much as I love the little one I don’t wanna cause all this trouble.” Jo whispered. Liam knew that this was the wrong reason for an abortion. He took the stethoscope form his nightstand. He rubbed the end of it that it was warm when he pushed it under Jo’s shirt and placed the ear pieces in Jo’s ears.
“Listen to this and try to figure out what is best for you, and then we work out that everyone else fits in the picture.”
Jo was silent for a few moments until panicked and whispered. “I can’t hear a heartbeat.”
Jo looked scared at Liam. At this moment she knew that even if no one wants to be happy for her and Liam she was happy, they were having a family. “Liam?!”
Liam chuckled. “No but not a bad idea. I just gave her a piece of my mind and I don’t think she liked it.” Liam kissed her on the top of her head.
