"I want it to be fun all the time!" said Sekhmet as she skiped alongside the girls. Then she looked to Sally. "Can you pick me up Mommy?"

"Uh, okay," replied Sally, leaning down and just managing to pick up the little girl. Sekhmet giggled, then leaned over to Jenny and kissed her forehead.

"There! I kissed it better! Just like you do with me Mama!" she smiled.

Jenny laughed. "Thanks that meant the world to me. So Sekhmet what can you do with your fire. I've seen you do a fire ball can throw those? Or do this?" Jenny created a few fire balls and let them speed around the watchtower. "Can you manipulate my fire balls?"

Sekhmet giggled happily as Sally put her town, patting the little girl's head as she did so with a happy, proud smile.

"I can throw them, yeah!" said Sekhmet with lots of enthusiastic nods. "I can't move them yet. Mommy said I could if I prac... practism!" She clapped seeing the fireballs fly around. "I... can't do anything with your fire Mama. But you can move mine."

Jenny nodded. “Can you just create fire balls or do something like this?” The fireballs flew towards Jenny and she collected them on her hands before turning them in a firey glove. In a way she was impressed that Sekhmet seemed to have her fire quite well under control.

"Not... yet!" said Sekhmet, half disappointed, half excited that she could do.

"I'm sure you will!" smiled Sally, hugging the little girl.

"Don't worry you will. When I was your age I kept setting things on fire, half the time I suddenly sort of explode. So it is good that you don't lose control that easily." Jenny knelt down, her hands still on fire when she gently touched Sekhmet's hand and let the fire surround her daughter's body. It wouldn't burn the girl. "I understand you said you can control my flame but do you feel a connection with the flame that surrounds you?"

Jenny might not be book smart but she knew fire and every answer her daughter gave helped her to understand something about the connection she felt.

"I know Mama!" giggled Sekhmet. "You've said before. Though I can't do big fire things like you!" She gave a happy squeal as the fire passed over her, staring at her hands, watching the fires dance as she moved her finger.

"I can feel it, yeah!" she grinned.

Jenny looked at the fire and noticed for the first time it's heat. Sekhmet could not manipulate the fire, but Jenny's fire seemed to be in a certain way not harmful either. With a flicker of her hand every flame disappeared.

"Sekhmet I want you to create a fire ball as big as yourself and not matter what don't let it go keep holding on to it with your mind."

"As big as myself?" Sekhmet's eyes were almost the size of dinner plates with excitement. "I'll do my best Mama!"

He face scrunched up in concentration as she tried to make the biggest flame she could, though it was only around the size of a beach ball.

"That is quite impressive. I gonne shape it don't let go." Jenny smiled, she crouched behind Sekhmet and gently touched the fire ball of her daughter. For the first time ever she realised how different fire could feel. Her own flame felt like part of her body where as Sekhmet's felt different and at the same time familiar. Very slowly Jenny streched Sekhmet's flame and drapped it outround herself and Sekhmet. She took a deep breath and kissed her daughter on the cheek. "Perfect. You can turn the flame off now."

Jenny stood up and grinned at Sally. This could work.

"That was SO COOL Mama!" exclaimed Sekhmet as she made the flame vanish then hugged Jenny.

Sally gave a wink back, trying to contain her excitement but not really managing to do so.

Jenny hugged her daughter tightly. "It was pretty amazing. So let's have a look if we can get those raiders. Sekhmet, you get a present for every raider you hit with your flame."

Jenny got up and had a look out of the watchtower. She saw the soldiers now all dressed in local clothes. This will be interesting.

"I will? Really? But Mommy said I can't use my fire against other people!" said Sekhmet.

"I said that?" wondered Sally confused.

Jenny laughed. "That sounds like here. Well and generally I think she is right but these are bad people and we all think so, so it is okay."

Jenny kissed Sally. "Apparently you are not so much a bad girl here afterall. And that is partly what turns me on." She said with a cheekey smile on her face.

"It does?" Sally was more surprised.

"Got it Mommy" grinned Sekhmet. "I'll show those bad people not to mess with us!!"

"Hey! I'm still a bad girl!" insisted Sally after the kiss. "Just... maybe not when it comes to Sekhmet."

"Good girl. Just don't fall out of the watch tower." Jenny loved the enthusiasm their daughter had.

"Oh I know you are a bad girl, my little sex kitten." Jenny whispered seductively in Sally's ear, but quickly added. "I know you are not a hero. No labels between us."

"If I do you'll fly in and catch me!" grinned Sekhmet.

Sally blushed and gave a little giggle, then she looked confused. "I... I don;t really care much about... heros and villians. I just said that cause... Cause I was trying to avoid the question."

"What are you two whispering about?" asked Sekhmet.

"That would be a challange, to fly I need my flame to be really hot not sure I could catch you but I would definately die trying. And we whispered about grown up cuddling. Mommy says I'm not allowed to talk to you about it." Jenny took Sally's hand. "Sorry just don't wanna upset you, Sally."

"Why not?" asked Sekhmet.

"Cause only grown ups talk about it!" said Sally. "And you won't upset me Jenny. Not about this, anyway."

"As soon your Mommy says you are old enough I explain it to you." Jenny tousled Sekhmet's hair.

"Good. I don't want to upset you." Jenny said. "When do you think those raiders attack?"

"I'm old enough now!" insisted Sekhmet, giggling as her hair was rubbed.

"'fraid not kiddo," smiled Sally. "But it's not something you need to worry about yet!" She turned and looked over the village, then at the sun which was starting to set. "I'd guess dusk."

Jenny looked around the desert that surrounded the city. She quickly glanzed at Sally and Sekhmet, those two better not get hurt Jenny would... she didn't remember it that way but she sees how her memory is false and Mark and witnesses accounts show how angry she grew when her dad got taken it made her more than angry. She shook her head better not think about this scenario.

"I guess dusk is as good as any time for them to attack."

"It's either that or under full cover of night," said Sally. "Either way, we'll find out soon."

Sekhmet created a little fireball and was throwing it up and catching it like a ball.

Jenny was starring out into the desert for a while when she noticed movement in the shadow of the desert, and it were not merchants which she saw earlier.

"We've got company."

The Great Khan came over and looked where Jenny was pointing. "It appears they will be here soon. I'll make sure your men are alerted. My own men have prepared a trench around the town. It is covered for now, but as soon as the raiders pass, we will open it, trapping them inside."

Sally had taken a telescopic sight out of her jacket, and was looking towards the duct cloud. "It appears to be the same chariots that are in our army."
