"Ywes I awm!" said Sekhmet in a squeaker voice, then she looked around. "Mwama, Mwommy, whewe awe we? I dwunno... I dwunno whewe we wewe!"

Sally laughed happily seeing Sekhmet there. Even if she did seem a few years younger. In some ways it made her happier, she and Jenny would have more time with Sekhmet growing up. But her smile faded as Sekhmet started looking distressed, then started crying.

Jenny managed to untangle herself from the pile and pulled Sekhmet into a tight hug while she created little animal shaped flames that were running around them. "Look at all those little ones, there is a girrafe, and a lion, and a little monkey, just like you my little monkey and you know one thins little monkeys get tickled." Jenny's voice got a bit higher and very happy sounding, she tickled Sekhmet gently and made sure the animals were dancing funny around them. "You are safe, Mommy and I are here. Will my little monkey tickle Mommy monkey and Mama monkey?" Jenny had big smiles, cute happy voices and a warmth around her. It was not much different to being with Annie Dirk's youngest.

Sekhmet instantly cheered up seeing the fire animals and clapped her hands. She laughed happily as she was tickled, trying to tickle back. "Wha's a monkwey?"she asked innocently.

Sally knelt down next to them, smiling, but starting to feel a little overwhelmed. Back in the book it had been just a possibility. Now... she and Jenny were really her with a child, their child.

"This is a monkey." Jenny let the little fire monkey come closer so that Sekhmet saw it. While the little girl was mesmorised by the fire animal Jenny took Sally's hand. "We'll be fine. We've got to work a few things out but we will be fine. You have me and I have you and together we have Sekhmet. What are we doing now? I do have a hotel for another two days here. The room is big enough for the three of us."

Sekhmet was chasing the little animals.

"Aso whatever we do maybe we should get out of here and then discuss anything esle. Not sure a tomb with a magic book is a good place for a little girl to play."

Sally smiled, squeeze Jenny's hand tight. "I... never thought I'd find something so precious in my trip to Egypt," she smiled. "I've got a hotel room too... wouldn't it be funny if they were next to each other?" she laughed. "But... we have to find a way to get Sekhmet home, past all the security."

Sekhmet stopped running, peering at the body of First in the middle of the room.

"Who's thwa owd wady?" she asked.

Jenny jumped up with nearly super speed ran towards Sekhmet and picked her up in a with a lot of laughter. "This my little pumpkin I explain when you are thirty. Come on lets go out in the sun. Mommy you coming?"

Before Sekhmet could get upset again she walked towards the passage that would lead them back into the main temple. "I'm counting of your head Sally. I bet you can make a fake ID. Are you hungry Sekhmet?"

"Yweah. Biwg howe iwn hewe." Sekhmet pointed at her tummy and on command if grumbled.

"Me too." Jenny laughed.

Sally thought for a moment. "I think my ID would be good enough to get through security. She does LOOK like our daughter she they shouldn't check too closely." She couldn't help but laugh at the antics of the other two.

"Food sounds good. How long has it been since we ate?"

"Too long! I'm in the Big Cairo Hotel." Jenny was still carrying Sekhmet, she didn't want the girl to suddenly disappear. "We also need some stuff for her, clothes to change and at least some toys the flight will be long otherwise." Jenny was thinking of all the stuff Annie owned.
Each hotel had a few shuttles from the temple. Suddenly Jenny looked up. "Er do you need to report to anyone, I mean your finds or anything? I... don't wanna stop you from your... job." She was careful how to word things so Sekhmet would not pick up anything and repeat anything that would put the girl in danger.

"My hotels a bit more... out of the way," said Sally. "Let's stick with yours, it sounds better. I do have some handheld games with me, they might keep her indulged for a while on the flight,! she suggested.

She gave a bitter laugh as she entered the shuttle. "They don;t really give a damn about me or this expedition. Besides, I'm looking for a new... job now."

"Since she has your brain I bet she loves them." Jenny sat down at the window and pulled Sally into the seat next to her, in the back of the shuttle. She leaned over and kissed Sally on the cheek. "Well its their loss and my gain. Because now you have someone who cares a big deal about anything you do and I was serious about the race garage. Look Sekhmet, that are camels."

Sekhmet was glued to the window jumping up and down on Jenny's lap. "I'm glad I heal quickly she will leave bruises." Jenny giggled.

Sally stared at Jenny for a moment, tears starting to fall from her eyes, then she leabed over and cling to Jenny with the same tightness Jenny had held onto Sekhmet. She gave a happy sigh, feeling safe this close to Jenny. "I care about you too Jenny. I never thought I could, but I have you, and Sekhmet now. I have my family!" She giggled. "You can keep her on your knees then, unless I find some way to copy your healing!" she joked.

Jenny grinned happy. "Exactly we have each other and the rest will fall in place. Yeah I'm not taking any chances the healers said you need to be careful for a few days with your leg. There we are this is my hotel. My... I didn't book it, it was a present for missed presents since I'm back." The hotel was on the nicer side, not posh but nice and Jenny knew it had a childrens play area by the pool where they could later take Sekhmet. "Oh Sekhmet careful." Even though it was just a day Jenny got used that Sekhmet had her powers under control but the younger Sekhmet had just set fire to the seat. Jenny quickly put it out but it still left a scorch mark.

"This will be interesting." Jenny giggled she took Sally's hand and still carried Sekhmet while they made their way through the lobby. "I hope Sekhmet is tired Mama needs to sleep. Also can we look up her name's meaning, I love the girl but the name is... not what I would have chosen. Unless you really like it, though I still don't know how to spell it."

"You're so... carefree!" Sally smiled, a little enviously. "I'm sure they were just being careful, my leg feels fine," she insisted.

Her face fell a little. "It must be nice, those gestures to make up for lost time." But when the seat caught fire it caused Sally to jump, and brought her out of her downer mood. "At least they don;t take people with powers away anymore, but we'll need to keep an eye on her! And somehow I doubt a two year old gets tired," she joked. "Hmm... now we're back.." She took out a phone and started looking up Sekhmet's name.

"Well these past months I was Auntie Jenny, I sort of still feel like that so all I do if fun. I will need to grow into the Mama role." Jenny finally put Sekhmet on the floor and let her walk by herself. That would tire the little girl.

"Don't expect presents like this all the time." Jenny looked on the floor, she'd promised not to mention her dad this was from both Mark and Dirk, but how would she talk about her life if she had to leave out one part? "They just felt bad for not looking properly. Lucky us they don't take people with powers away anymore. Sekhmet wanna push the button on the lift?" Jenny lifted Sekhmet up so the little girl could push the button. While they waited Jenny looked at Sally's phone... "I did mention I barely know how my phone works right? I think I left it in my room or at the breakfast table this morning...?" Jenny tried to rememebr where her phone was but gave up. "Did you find something about her name?"

The internet wrote:In Egyptian mythology, Sekhmet /ˈsɛkˌmɛt or Sachmis (/ˈsækmᵻs/; also spelled Sakhmet, Sekhet, or Sakhet, among other spellings) is a warrior goddess as well as goddess of healing...

"Well if we keep in mind that we could spell it Sekhet, I would suggest we call her Hettie." Jenny suggested.

"It will take both of us some time to adjust," agreed Sally, keeping an arm around Jenny. She kept quiet as Jenny talked about her father and Dirk. She knew things would come to a head there before too long, she just wanted to put it off as long as possible! She handed over her phone to Jenny so she could see the info about her name.

"Hettie? Hmmm..." She pondered the name for a bit. "Well, I suppose it is up to her if she likes it."

Before Jenny would ask Sekhmet she turned to Sally and proper kissed her not just a little kiss on the cheek. "I love you." She said quietly and warm and just for Sally.

Jenny had a big smile on her face and was crouching down to be on one level with Sekhmet. "Kiddo. Listen you name is a well Mama can't spell it. How about we call you Hettie. You know that makes as all have names that sounds similar. See Mommy's name is Sally and mine is Jenny so we would be Sally, Jenny and Hettie. I think that sounds really nice."

Just outside on the lift Jenny lifted the huge flower ot and pulled out a key card. "Just were I left you."

Sally blushed deepened as she was kissed, leaning back and giving a happy sigh, feeling her worries drift away. She ran her hand through Jenny's hair. "I love you so much," she replied. "You make me feel that everything's just perfect."

Sekhmet had been giggling a little as the girls kissed, then tried to look as serious as possible when Jenny told her to listen, which in turn caused Sally to giggle.

"Hwettie?" Sekhmet repeated, trying it out. "Hwettie Hwettie Hwettie! Yweah! I wike it!" she grinned.

"Hettie it is then," smiled Sally as she picked Hettie up and hugged her, though her leg trembled a little with the extra weight. She looked over to where Jenny had stashed the card. "One way to make sure it doesn't melt!" she commented.

"For the next few days you gonna pretend that you are pregnant and don't lift anything heavy." Jenny said calmly, grapped Hettie and threw the little girl like a sack potatoes over her shoulder.
Just as she unlocked the door she smiled at Sally. "My life is a constant battle not to melt stuff. Come in come in."

The room was a nice size, with a small table and arm chairs. A large bed of course TV and anything to it and a good sized bathroom. The view wasn't bad either and Jenny pictured herself snuggled up with Sally in the evenings on the balcony.

"That's not how I always live." Jenny said worried it would intimidate Sally.

"I fine! Really!" said Sally a little stubbornly as Hettie gave a little 'Wheeeee'. "And it's not like I need to worry about being pregnant now." Nevertheless she smiled. "I'll need to make you a flameproof belt with pouches so you can carry stuff safely.

She walked into the room and looked around. "This.... this is really nice. I uh.. kinda wish this was how you did always live..."

"Fameproof belt... yeah not a bad idea, but don't make it to big if it gets bulky it messes with my aerodynamic when I fly. HA! I knew my phone is somewhere." Jenny picked up her phone some indication lights where flashing in all kinds of colours.

"Don't get used to it, this is not the norm. Well I guess we got to look for a place together for Hettie, you and me and not to forget our garage. But at the moment I'm living at... er my dad's. Don't worry you don't ever have to come there. We find somewhere! But yeah not living like this." Jenny looked on her phone she had several missed calls, voice message and text messages. Apparently time continued to pass here as well, maybe slower but it still kept going.

"Funny. Dad said this phone will be great for me. I can use my voice to make it do things, well I think the phone hates me and is not listening. No idea how to check any of these messages. Anyway. Food! Hettie I'm ordering room service for dinner and we can watch a movie, I think there was a channel for kids."

Jenny's room was obviously clean because of the room service and her things were all neatly picked up but within seconds Jenny rummaged through piled of papers and things to find the food menu.

"Maybe we should ask for a kids bed for Hettie?"

"A challenge, but I'm up to it," grinned Sally. She looked at the phone. "Uh... if you wanted... I could open the messages for you?" she offered awkwardly. "But when we get our house, we'll make sure it's nice! I want a nice house for our family."

"Wha's a mowie?" asked Hettie curious as Jenny searched for the menu. Sally sat down on the bed and smiled. "Maybe we should see if the adjacent room is free?" she suggested

"So far anything dad build me I melted in the end." Jenny laughed about the memories. "It looked like pulling the melted pizza off the pizza. Oh er yeah sure won't be anything secret anyway. Just them asking where I am. I guess I should text them later that I am fine and still alive." Jenny finally found the menu. "Yes our house has to be nice, with a garden and nice spot for an aquarium for Herbert. And loads of space. Maybe I fianlly can have that dog I always dreamed about."

Jenny picked up the hotel phone and looked at Hettie. "I know she doesn't know movies but er she has changed and I not just mean her age, it nearly seems as if she lost her memories. Doesn't it." She said quietly.

"Hello, I have a request. My girlfriend-" big grin at Sally, "surprised me with our daughter so I was wondering if the room next door is free by any chance. And If so if I could add it to my booking for our daughter to sleep in. And then I need to order food." Jenny tried to sound very polite while talking to the person on the phone.

"What a lovely surprise of your girlfriend, yes the room is free. I will send someone up to arrange it for your daughter, how old is she do you need anything specific?"

"She is..." Jenny looked at Hettie, a Hettie that seemed to be the same age as Annie and she was three. "... three. Hettie is three. So er yeah if you had things that would be great and also can the room service be told not to go in her room. I don't want her to get kidnapped."

"Oh certainly. I send someone up right away."

Jenny ordered also a lot of food mainly because she wasn't sure what Hettie would eat. It took a while until she hung up again. Sally had her phone in her hand, when Jenny noticed that it was silently ringing and on the screen was a big picture of her dad, a grumpy looking man because he didn't want his picture taken in the first place. "Oh, just ignore it. He will leave another voice mail and... erm. Sorry! They gonna set up the room next to this one for Hettie, and er... do we need to pick up anything from your hotel, you know your things?" Jenny tried to distract Sally from the phone in her hand.

"Herbert, who's Herbert?" asked Sally. "And I.. was always more of a cat girl too..." She lowered her voice. "I know what you mean. She seems a bit....blanker. But maybe that's for the best. There'll be less culture shock than pulling her from Ancient Egypt to the 21st century." She went over to Hettie, starting to play a little clapping game with her as Jenny phone. She smiled happily and winked at Jenny as she brought up her girlfriend and daughter.

"I didn't have much else with me," Sally said. "A few changes of clothes, but that was it. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if they were stolen by now. It seems to be a day later than when we left."

"Herbet is my puffer fish. I can't remember how I got him, I know I wanted a puppy after we visited a dog shelter with school but mom and dad say where laughing, saying I would burn the poor thing alive. I then got Herbet, I can't remember how though."

Jenny sat down next to them on the bed. "Yeah maybe the culture shock would be a bit much... I feel like I'm having a culture shock every morning I wake up. You are welcome to wear any of my clothes"

A sudden knock made Jenny jump. "Room service."

"About time. Hettie, food is here." Jenny grinned and let the room service in, it brought all the food on a little trolley ad they unlocked the door to the adjoining room.

Once they were alone again Jenny asked. "Where do we go when we get back to New York? I don't want to keep Hettie from you and at the same time you wouldn't either but we don't have the house yet... We need to work out the logistics... before either of us gets hurt." Jenny lifted Hettie on the chair and put a plate of food in front of the little girl.

"You have a puffer fish? Wow!" Sally was pretty impressed, then worried. "We'll need to make sure he can't hurt Hettie!" She looked to the little girl and hugged her.

"A culture shock? Is that because... of your memories?" Sally asked gently. "And,.. er... thanks I suppose. They're not quite my style though!"

She followed Jenny and Hettie through after the food arrived.

"I was thinking, I've got a bit of money stashed away. Maybe... I could get a hotel room near where you stay, and Hettie and I could live there for a while till we find a proper house?" she suggested.

"Mwama? Wha's aww thwis?" Hettie asked, poke the food on her plate curiously.
