"Yeah so am I." Jenny rested her head on Sally's shoulder. "Just don't ask again. Anything else I tell you just not that."

Jenny looked up and saw Sekhmet watch them. "So kiddo your Mommy and I had a blast, fighting a giant beetle and camped in a cave, so what do you want to do today?"

"I... I promise!" said Sally.

"Oooh? How big was it?" asked Sekhmet excited. "And i dunno. Oh, but I've something to show you!"

"Giant. What do you wanna show us?" Jenny was eating again.

Sekhmet's eyes went wide. "Ooooh! And it's in my room! I made it myself!"

"Well then Mommy ready to see whatever it is?" Jenny took a plate and piled some more food for the way. "Sally I bet you this fruit I have no idea what it is that she build a robot." Jenny chuckled

"Please Mommy!" begged Sekhmet, looking at Sally a little wide eyed.

"Sure, I'm ready," smiled Sally. She turned to Jenny. "I was gonna say that we are in ancient Egypt so no giant robots, but we did get pulled inside a magical books so...." Sally pasused, looking thoughtful

They followed the little girl, Jenny still eating. "What? I can see that you are thinking."

"It's just... an idea popped into my head just now... It seems pretty crazy though..."

"Right.. Crazy nothing crazy about anything that happened in the last 24 hours."

A servant Jenny hadn't even seen in the corner ran to her to take her empty plate while a second gave her a full one. "Thanks. Next time we travel we got to pack supplies."

"Why not just make sure we have servents again!" smiled Sally. "But... I'm starting to think..." She lowered her voice to a whisper, "that none of this is real."

"I like that plan. Ancient Rome is my suggestion I might catch up on some history and I totally wanna see gladiators. Also the great fire of London. I know it was all tragic and stuff but it must have looked so beautiful all the flames. Wait not real? I had that idea ages ago I said coma first."

"I dibn't think you'd even know that much about history," said Sally. "And you.. really want to see gladiators? And I didn't mean like a coma.. I mean this is almost... virtual reality."

"Hey!" Jenny pretend to look offended. "History was my strongest subject I had am amazing D in it, right after dodging bullies. Who doesn't want to see gladiators stupid men fight each other. Virtual reality?"

"You do seem to love the more bloddy parts!" commented Sally. "And yeah. Think about how this whole place seems to be tailored around us!"

"They are the most interesting once apart from fires and volcano eruptions. Virtual reality, Scott has a game he said I would like he lost me after he explained how to turn it on. You said they didn't have that kind of technology back then. What were First's powers mind manipulation. Oh if this is not real that means the sex we had was not real so you my dear are still a virgin." Jenny grinned widely. "Where did the little one go, she is quick."

"Maybe Pompeii then?" suggested Sally.  "And.. in theory they hadn't, but I did have suspicions because of First.  Because her powers... varied!"

She blushed a little.  "Just as well.  I'm not sure I want... our daughter... to hear that.

"Pompeji not a bad choice. Mh, so you are saying this is all in our heads and we are knocked out on the floor in a Egyptian temple. Not sure that is better than my very first theory, time travel. This First sounds like an unsteady character. Because it's not real or because I mentioned sex?" Jenny finally finished eating. "On that note no matter if it was real or not us last night, how come you never done it before? Unsure if you wanted a boy or a girl?"

"I'll make a note for our next romantic vacation," teased Sally. "And... no, we got sucked into the book remember, so I think we... might be inside the book. And... I'm not sure about unsteady. See, she always had powers light being super-tough and super strong, and usually flight, but she's often have one or two additional powers, but I found out these changed depending on what outfit First was wearing. I started to suspect she might have been wearing some form of battlesuit." She took a deep breath.

"Because of the sex. She.. Sekhmet... feels more real than the rest of the stuff here... And...uh.." She began to blush. "I.. just... hadn't really thought about it. Not that anyone was interested."

Jenny smiled. "Yup I definitely like that you are smart. Inside the book... So how do we get out? Do you think First is here? I guess it's not an ideal topic for a little girl. I wanna take her with us! It's crazy how much I love her and I barely know her."

Jenny took Sally's hand. "I blame all the staying that you've done. I always thought Dirk would be my first but yeah that didn't work out. Seriously no one was interested were they blind? Stop blushing the little one is close by and you are making me want you so badly."

When Jenny said she like her being smart, Sally slipped her arm around the other girl and kissed her on the cheek. "If...we are inside the book, and this is what it's designed to do, there has to be a way to get out. It didn't seem like a prison," said said, half explaining, half working it out as she went. "And... I think... maybe... one of us has the role First would have been in."

Sekhmet stuck her head round the corner. "Mama! Mommy! Hurry up! I wanna show you!" she called excitedly.

"I.... I'm not sure we can take her," said Sally, a tremor in her voice. "We... might be able to.. but..."

Then, predictably, she blushed more. "I'm not that pretty..." she murmured. "And most people didn't want to be with a post-human super villain's daughter. Unless they wanted to take advantage of the fact no one would listen to me."

Jenny starred at her. "One of us is First that is not creepy at all."

The older girl jumped out of her skin when Sekhmet spoke behind them.

"If this book is not just a story but the past would that not mean we change history if we take Sekhmet? And how do we know what to do if we are not us." This started to be confusing.

"You are that pretty but I see your point that some would have taken advantage of you. Were you never curious to know what it would be like?"

"I... don't think it's any more creepy than.. say... playing a character in a video game," said Sally. "And.... I didn't mean we might not be able to because of changing history... more.. if she's not real... how can she exists outside the book," she added sadly. She looked towards the little girl. "We're coming."

"As for knowing what to do... I kinda think the 'plot' will happen regardless of what we do." She blushes a little more. "I... I wasn't pretty at all in school... never really looked since then. And of course I was curious. I just... well.... consequences..."

“I don’t get the whole video game thing. Well the book is based on history so in some why she did exist.” Jenny kissed Sally on the cheek. “No sad faces, let’s see what the little one made. I am dying to find out. I still say robot.”


They finally reached their daughters room another servant opened the door for them. “Yeah consequences…” Jenny thought of Sekhmet. “That’s what condoms are for, I would have aid we don’t need those but apparently Egyptians were able to create a child of two girls.

"I guess she did," said Sally, then smiled as she was kissed. "Yeah, we need to be happy for our... our daughter." Sally still felt a little strange thinking of Sekhmet like that.

"It... does look that we had those consequences anyway. But... it could be that in this story one of us is supposed to be male?" Sally suggested.

Inside the room on a table a wooden human figure, around a foot tall, stood above a golden cup with a papirus windmill attached to it's back.

Jenny turned to Sally. “I told you clearly a robot. Sekhmet, tell your silly mama what it is. Can it fly or shoot laser beams or oh create fire?”
