We’re only a handful of posts away from finishing ep1 and I though it would be good to discuss some ideas before the outline post is up to stop it being cluttered. A few things to cover.

Ok, which Doctor? For the story either 9, 10 or 11 would work, but 11’s out as he was in ep1. Of the other two I think 10 would work slightly better, but if people have a preference for 9

I think Ariel is wanting to join the game in ep2, so we’ll need to find a way for her character to join. The easiest way would be to change the setting from 20th century England to 19th century Hungary/Austria, and have Sissi either visiting or passing through the township. Alternatively, we could find some cleaver way for her to travel a century and a half ahead in time. Any ideas?

And finally, as I mentioned in the Battlefield post, character development and relationships. Soooo, what kind of things are we after for the travellers?

Needed to look up description for Undying:

Episode 2 – The Undying (Calvin)
A man is seen jumping off a cliff, then alive and well the next day. Many more people have gone missing. The local wildlife has started acting strangely hostile. And the Doctor and his friends have been arrested.
...And not sure it's as enlightening as I thought it'd be? What's going on in this one?

As for which Doctor, as a rule I hate Nine, Razz so I vote Ten.

And the locale/time change sounds reasonable. Maybe the Doctor meant to take us to England in the 20th century and, as usual, we end up somewhere else? Laughing

What's going on. Erm, well i've having to change it with the change of setting, so it'll be a while before i've got details ready. However, i think most of the stuff to discuss is separate from the main plot, possibly.

Oh Sissi could just get picked up somehow on the way? So that you don't have to change everything?

I just need to work out the original 20th century plot needs to be re-worked to fit 19th century. It'll take a wee while to ponder, but as ep1 still has a bit to go there isn't a mad rush.

Sara and the Bachelor would have fun going on some sort of mission together in this epi. Maybe they could get captured together? I would like to see them be put in more situations where the Bachelor can get them into trouble and Sara can diffuse the situation (possibly while on the run from baddies)

Also, to get Jamie and the Bachelor into bro territory, I think they should have something to do together....OMG CAN THEY BE EACH OTHER'S WINGMEN AT A NINETEENTH CENTURY BALL???? hahahaha I am such a nerd...

Also, the Bach will hit on Sissi, that's a given Razz Will she fall for his masculine wiles?

Also, I'm not sure how the Bach and how Nikki feel about each other. I think the Bach is slightly terrified of Nikki and I imagine Nikki is confused by him. I dunno! maybe they should have a bonding moment in the wardrobe room.

A Nineteenth century ball eh? Perfect, no the whole plot fits together. Cheers! I can only imagine Jamie's bemusement as he tries to work out what Bach means by 'wingman'! Razz

The Bach will hit on Sissi? I think that might count as a situation of Bach getting in trouble and needing Sara to bail him out, if Bach is a bit to forward for 19th century standards.

And why would Bach be terrified of Nikki? At the moment wouldn't he think of her as a slightly quirky cyborg/human-looking robot?

Ohh, Jamie understands the concept of wingman well enough, I think, it's the term he's unfamiliar with!

Sissi will be flattered, but a good Catholic Bavarian princess will not fall for him. Especially not after she just got married to a very respectable man. But she will enjoy the attention.

What if Jamie tried chatting her up? With his manners (oh who am I kidding, he's a Highlander lol), and his accent and, well, the fact that he's from a similar time period? He might even act "old-fashioned" to her mind! Razz

Jamie's also a good Catholic boy, so... "SHE'S MARRIED?!" D:

Calvin: I think the Bach is more apprehensive of Nikki than terrified. I mean she's a robot lady and he has always had a thing for girls and machines. I think he knows he could not impress Sara, but maybe he hopes to someday impress Nikki, in a kind of junior-officer-trying-to-impress-a-superior-officer kind of way. Thoughts? What do you think their relationship should be like?

Ariel: No sweat, the Bach likes to be friends, too! haha maybe he will get lucky with SISSI's wingwoman!! He also might not understand the concept of letting a silly thing like marriage stand in the way of true love Razz

Haha okay good to know.

Jamie may always try to impress the ladies, but maybe not so well on the 'chatting up' front. (The definition of an outgoing highlander, they look at your shoes when talking to you.) Razz

As for Niki and Bach. Hmm, not sure about long term. At the moment she has him classed as a funny oddball. Given how socially naive she is, subtle flirting would go over her head, and more obvious would just embarrass her. Possibly have it start of with Niki oblivious to the point of comedy, until Bach goes a bit to far, leading to an awkward moment at an awkward time?

HAAAAAA....that's a new one! Laughing

And agreed, a good assessment of Jamie's tactics: he basically has none!
