Personality: Jo is a sensitive, very intelligent girl. She easily was scared and even more easily starts to cry, but as long Liam is around she will calm down again. History/Background: Jo is an highly intelligent young girl. She is raised by her nanny Anne. A black woman that loves her like her own daughter she lost the day she was born. Jo’s mother never really could connect to her daughter. She is a typical rich Lady that sees her daughter in lovely dresses once a week, to show what Jo learned. Elizabeth does lover her daughter but she can’t show it.
Jo is daddy’s little girl, but her father works a lot. But the few rare occasions they spend time together are very dear memories Jo treasures.
Both of Jo’s parents are still coping with loses of the past. Their first son was given away for adoption because Elizabeth just had turned eighteen, and seven more children died either as miscarriages or were stillborn. Jo was a miracle and Elizabeth is too scared to lose her miracle, just like she lost all her other children.
Jo was never a good in making friends with kids of her age. They didn’t get her and thought of her as weird, and it hurt her a lot. She stopped wanting to be friends with children and retreated into the world of books. Jo created her own friends, imaginary friends that would never hurt her. When she found out that it is not normal for children to have imaginary friends when you are over the age of seven. Jo stopped talking about them when her mother had a nervous breakdown on Jo’s ninth birthday when Jo asked to set a plate for Zulu her imaginary friend. Jo didn’t stop having friends like Zulu, infect the last friend vanished Chubby a green little gnome disappeared the moment she saw Liam for the first time in London. They never came back.
She skipped several classes and graduated from high school with just fourteen. She attended in the same year University to study English Literature and Philosophy. In her first year she managed to attend enough courses to skip from the first into her third and final year.
Jo got kidnapped from Liam’s flat, she was lost for two weeks. It majorly traumatized her, but with Liam’s support she came through. She knows that since then she is carrying at least one device that will make it possible to find her.
Jo never said to anyone I love you except Liam, and even though she knows he has a hard time saying it back to her, it made her very happy to tell him how much she loved him. Especially since she found out his little secret that he used just a different phrasing of telling her that he loves her too.
