Character's Real Name: Liam Seamus O’Doherty
Codename: The Kid
Nationality: Irish
Age: 17
Appearance (height, eye color, the usuals): 5’ 8’’, 150 lbs. Dark hair, blue eyes, very pale, rather skinny (typical physique of a teenager, so no sixpack yet…or ever)
Distinguishing Features: strong brows
Occupation/Rank/Affliation: British Secret Service
Education and Early Life: In school Liam skipped two grades, and he graduated from high school when he was just fifteen but found himself not interested in pursuing any further career at university since he already knew everything they would teach him there and couldn’t stand the idea of spending his next years among college students (he never really bonded with people his age). He wanted to work for NASA but he had no chance getting in due to his young age. Shortly after he moved out of his grandparents’ house he ran into Dick Pound , a man who had no memory of himself. Liam already read about cases like Dick’s and was quick in analysing his current state and knew that it was dangerous to leave him alone. While Dick tried to get back on his feet and find out what happened to him, Liam followed him because he wanted to help him but also because he had nobody else he could turn to. With time they became some sort of team, Dick even saved his life, and after that the younger boy became even more dedicated to him.
Training and Learned Skills (rank them with (1) being 'most skilled'): 1) Constructing bombs and useful gadgets 2) Planning 3) Fooling people with his ‘I’m-the-innocent-boy-next-door’- act
Personal Life (and do people know about it?): Liam never got to know his father and has no siblings. He and his mother travelled a lot due to her job in the marine research. Liam spent some of his childhood in New Zealand and Australia, and at the age of 12 they moved to the US. When he was around that age he started developing great interest in the work of secret services and spent many afternoons in the library, drawing sketches of bombs and all sort of rather peculiar gadgets. The other kids couldn’t really relate to him and he often got into trouble because he constantly contradicted the teachers. After his mother died when he was 14, Liam had to move back to Ireland to live with his grandparents, an old and very conservative catholic couple who speak nothing but Irish. They don’t know anything about his true profession because he made them believe that he goes to a college in the US.
Languages: Irish, English (with an Irish accent), Greek (with an Irish accent), Latin (with an Irish accent), French (with an Irish accent)…oh yes, did I mention Irish?
Favored Weapon and Least Favored Weapon: He doesn’t like to use weapons in general. He knows how to use a gun because Dick taught him, but if he really had to choose a weapon he would probably take a crossbow.
Favored Car and/or Gadget: He likes the gadgets he built himself because he knows they always work.
Interests: Astronomy and Astrophysics, books (the bigger the better)… and a certain Miss Candy *clearing his throat*
Personality: Despite loving to read about astrophysics and spending time constructing gadgets, Liam is not what people call a ‘typical geek’. Sure, he has absorbed so much knowledge in his life that he doesn’t really know where to put it so he tends to throw everything he knows at other people, but on the other hand he’s a teenage boy who has just as much interest in girls and playing pranks like other ‘normal’ boys his age. He likes girls a lot, but he’s not very successful in that area because he scares most of them off as soon as he starts talking about chemical formulas or the human anatomy. Liam is generally open, optimistic and often speaks his mind. He usually isn’t that shy except if there’s an intimidatingly beautiful woman around, that’s when he finally shuts up.
Inherent Strengths: His enormous knowledge and skill of constructing useful things is very beneficial for the job, and so is his innocent appearance. He can easily be sent out to distract people since everybody believes he’s harmless. He’s good in creating plans and manages to keep a cool head and comes up with a Plan B (or Plan C, if necessary) when everything else goes terribly wrong.
Inherent Weaknesses: He’s not as strong and athletic as the other agents, and he’s a terrible driver (he doesn’t even have his license yet). When he’s nervous he tends to get clumsy, and sometimes he behaves rather immature. He acts really awkward when he has to sympathise with others because he is more controlled by his brain than by his heart.
