"You are very very odd. What are you trying to find here? Is this first still alive. I think we should go I bet she won't be happy to find us here."
Jenny didn't understand why it was so important for her that Glitch would not stay down here alone. Jenny went over to Glitch wanting to drag her out of here. "Let's go."

Glitch visibly tensed when Jenny called her 'odd'. She hated being called 'odd' or 'freak' or insults for that nature. And for some reason being called odd by this pyro girl hurt even more than usual.

"You want to go, go," hissed Glitch at Jenny. "Run home to Daddy and your perfect little life."

"Sorry didn't mean to offend you. I do want to go but I want you to come with me. This can't be safe." Jenny stepped closer to Glitch and took her by the arm, she tried to make sure her hand would not burn the other girl. "But I guess you are not leaving until you are done whatever it is you are doing so how can I help?"

She smells good, okay that was a weird thought.

As the pyro girl took Glitch's arm she let out a gasp. She'd never been one of those touchy-feely girls, in fact outside of when she was forced to fight she probibly hadn't had physical contact with another human for a few years. But there was more too it than that...

Glitch shook her head. "You want to help? I could do with a bit more light," she managed to say, a slight shake in her voice.

'I'm I scared of her?' Glitch wondered to herself. 'It doesn't... feel like fear.'

"Sorry did I burn you?" Jenny let go and created several new fire balls to five Glitch the light she asked for.

"So what are you doing?"

"No... It's just.... I'm not used to being touched," Glitch admit it.

'Darn it, stop babbling at her. Think about what her family has done to you,' thought Glitch to herself.

"The Egyptians are famed for the hidden panels, passages and rooms," she said out loud. "So it stands to reason..." She mover her hand to a small indent in the hieroglyphs and pressed. There was a slight rumble as the wall slid to the side. "That there would be one in here."

"Sorry."

"So you just want to find another hidden room? Is this first still alive?"

Jenny couldn't stop looking at Glitch.

"It's not the hidden room, it's what could be hidden inside," said Glitch with a grin. "As for the relic back there, I dunno but it looks like some form of suspended animation."

"Why are you here alone?" Jenny suddenly worried that this was a trap.

"Because I've no one with me," said Glitch flatly. "I bet you're hear on a lovely package holiday with your family."

"No they said it would be to hot to go at this time of the year."

Why was she telling her that? She should have lied said they are here in the temple.

"What are you looking for?" Jenny followed Glitch into the new chamber. It was cold and sort of humid, it made her fire balls flicker unusually.

"Not trying to convince me you've got backup? I'm surprised... or your overconfident," said Glitch. She glanced back at Jenny, then quickly away again. "Can you... not stare at me like that?" she asked, then shivered. "It's like they've got air con in here," she commented as the hovering lights from Jenny illuminated a wall of shelves, covered in golden items.

"JACKPOT!" cried Glitch triumphantly, heading towards the shelves, drawn mostly towards a large, golden covered book.

"I don't stare I just want to make sure you don't do anything stupid."  

Jenny forced herself to look away from Glitch at the book. She stepped really close to Glitch to get a better view on the book.  "What is this?"

"I won;t," said Glitch firmly as she opened the book. She gazed down at the hieroglyphs, then suddenly became away of Jenny right next to her. A slight awkward feeling came over her and she shied away a little, as the hieroglyphs on the page because to distort and swirl.

"Can you read this?" To Jenny the hieroglyphs meant nothing. "You smell good... I mean,  er."

"Give me a bit of time and I... what?" Glitch turned and stared at the pygo girl shocked. She could also feel a little bit of red in her cheeks.

The hieroglyphs swirled more, turning into a purple portal, as if someone had created a whilepool on the page.

"I don't know. I think something is wrong with the air here it makes me feel funny." Jenny felt herself turn warmer, was she embarrassed? She never was, so why the sudden uncontrollable heat?

What the fuck is wrong with me?


"Didn't some graverobber a hundred years ago get really sick when they entered those graves?"

"Y-yeah.... maybe..." agreed Glitch as he face got a little redder. "Uh... I think that was just a mosquito bite..." she answered, taking a step back and putting her hand down on the book.

Straight into the portal.

Glitch gave a scream as it felt like something was pulling on her arm, pulling her into the book.

"What the fuck?" Jenny grabbed Glitch's arm to pull her away from the book. "This wasn't what you thought would happen, right?" Jenny yelled.

"Of course I didn't!" screamed Glitch. For a moment it looked like Jenny would pull her free, then with a sudden lurch the force multiplied and Glitch was pulled inside.

Jenny tried her best but was pulled inside after Glitch.

It was unclear if they were falling for seconds or hours, but suddenly the pair hit solid ground. They seemed to be back outside in the desert, next to a small oasis. In the far distance a massive stone tower could be seen, stretching into the clouds.

Glitch groan, she felt like something was weighing her down. Then she realised something was, and Jenny had landed on top of her.

This was so weird.

"What just happened. Oh sorry didn't mean to land on you..." Jenny looked for a while at Glitch without getting of her. "Sorry." Jenny got off Glitch and offered her a hand to get up.

"Where are we?"

At this stage Glitch's face was almost the same colour as her hair. She blinked for a moment before taking the proffered arm, getting up and looking around.

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore..."

"No kidding."

Jenny looked around. "We are in the desert. And I get the feeling that it is not so much where we are but when."

Jenny took a deep breath, she felt weird. "I think I'm sick. My heart is racing and I have trouble breathing. Normally I heal but this seems not to heal. Maybe I can't heal from ancient grave sicknesses. How do we get home?"
